Experts see improvements with bypass liner in diabetes

Moderately obese type 2 diabetes patients who used a duodenal-jejunal bypass liner attained significant reductions in fasting plasma glucose and A1C levels and body weight at 52 weeks, a study in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism indicated. Researchers also noted lower bad cholesterol and triglyceride rates in patients.
