SEC should force firms to expand disclosure on pay, Rep. Frank says

Rep. Barney Frank said the Securities and Exchange Commission should require companies to disclose the pay of their highest-paid employees. "They can do that without us. There's no point in legislating," Frank said. The SEC requires disclosure of compensation for CEOs, chief financial officers and a few other highly paid executives. The SEC "should expand the disclosure," Frank said.
