CMS makes data available on hospital infections

The CMS has posted data on central line-associated infections in hospital intensive care units on its Hospital Compare website. The website is intended to help patients in choosing quality hospitals. The site currently features only three months' worth of data, but the agency plans to update it quarterly and eventually publish infection data for a whole year.
