Firms add lawyers even as demand drops, report says

Major law firms increased the number of lawyers they employ even as demand for their services dropped in the fourth quarter, according to a study by the Hildebrandt Institute. The institute's index, which tracks the well-being of major law firms, dropped to its lowest point in more than two years.
