MTV opens upfront ad-sales season

MTV fired the starter's gun for this year's upfront ad-sales season with a presentation for media buyers earlier this week. The Viacom network, according to this report, wanted to get an early start, in part, to leverage the success of new show "Jersey Shore," which recently attracted 4.83 million viewers to its season finale.
