Amy Astley, editor in chief of Teen Vogue, describes her management style as "a benevolent dictatorship," and says she's the final arbiter on all matters of taste, editorial judgment and business strategy. "I am in charge. It's my magazine," she says. "If it takes too many words to explain to somebody why I like something, then we probably don’t have the right chemistry to work together."
