Mo. ranks 2nd among states for children with ADHD on meds

About 9% of Missouri children have a diagnosis of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and 80% of those are on ADHD medication. Mississippi is the only state that ranks higher in terms of the percentage of children with ADHD who are being treated with drugs, according to CDC data. The CDC and the Missouri Department of Mental Health are looking for reasons behind the trend.
