Report provides insight into STEM education trends

A recent report entitled, "Where are the STEM Students? What are Their Career Interests? Where are the STEM Jobs?" provides a snapshot of what's happening in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. For example, mechanical engineering is the most popular STEM career, with about 20% of STEM students pursuing that option. The report also shows that technology and engineering are gaining in popularity, while science and math interest is declining, though of the four STEM fields, science is the most popular among women.
