Local stations clean up with Super Bowl

Some marketers who don't have the budget for Super Bowl network buys approaching $3 million for a 30-second spot opt to purchase time on local stations. Boston's CBS affiliate WBZ-TV is reportedly selling its allotment of Super Bowl spots for as much as $200,000 each. Typically, prime time spots on the Boston station command between $4,000 and $20,000.
