Banks see problems with QM provisions on compensation, fees

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is likely to get pushback from lenders on provisions in its qualified-mortgage rule that restrict fees and compensation for brokers. The provisions could hurt low-income borrowers and the outside brokers that some lenders rely on to originate loans, some say.
