Ill. district reviews changes associated with common core

The Common Core State Standards are triggering changes in school programs at all levels, and Hinsdale Township High School District 86 officials in Illinois recently discussed the upcoming changes with school board members. They noted that algebra will be introduced earlier and high-school math will require more higher-order thinking. Officials also said they plan to host a meeting soon to explain the changes to parents.
