Pharmacy boards have no business regulating PBMs, compounders

Some state pharmacy boards have moved away from their main job of overseeing pharmacists and now claim new authority to regulate pharmacy benefit managers and drug compounders, a recent Bloomberg BNA article said. Pharmacists who sit on state pharmacy boards face a conflict of interest in overseeing entities whose success or failure affects board members' own incomes.
