Va. defense firms say sequester is already here

In a meeting this week with Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., leaders from Virginia defense firms said the negative effects of the looming sequestration already have hit their businesses and warned that there will be worse fallout if the cuts take place. Firms have slowed research investment, frozen hiring and delayed orders, the contractors told Kaine. "We've been sequestered already," said John Hillen, president and CEO of Sotera Defense.
