Key lawmakers promise to work on health reform this year

U.S. Sens. Max Baucus, D-Mont., and Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., assured President Barack Obama of their "continuing commitment" to push for legislation this year to extensively reform health care. In a letter, the senators also urged Obama to "swiftly choose an exceptionally qualified and dedicated alternate nominee" for HHS secretary.
