SCAI, other medical societies issue TAVR consensus document

SCAI and a number of other U.S. heart health organizations have presented a consensus blueprint for the use of transcatheter aortic valve replacement. The consensus document for this new procedure recommends the presence of both a cardiologist and surgeon during the procedure, and the recommendations cover screening, procedural process and postprocedural care.
