Clorox sales up, due partly to rampant flu season

Last quarter, Clorox sales were up 9% to $1.33 billion, due in part to an active flu season. As a result, the company boosted its 2013 sales-growth projections from between 2% and 4% to between 3% and 5%. Sales of Clorox cleaning products were up 15% to $425 million, which boosted overall income by 28%.
