Ga. legislation lays out licensing requirements for navigators

Georgia lawmakers want health insurance exchange navigators to be licensed before working in the exchanges. Under House Bill 198, navigators would have to obtain 35 hours of training before licensing. Continuing education would also be required. State insurance commissioner Ralph Hudgens lauded the idea, saying "we support any effort to [ensure] that individuals who may provide insurance advice to Georgia citizens are qualified to do so."
