GameStop: Xbox's reported restriction on used games may be an issue

Reports that the next-generation Xbox console won't allow used games to be played on it are concerning GameStop, which gets a large portion of its profits from selling pre-owned game discs. "We know the desire to purchase a next-generation console would be significantly diminished if new consoles were to prohibit playing pre-owned games, limit portability or not play new physical games," GameStop spokesman Matt Hodges said.
