Seattle school administrators give exams for boycotting teachers

After talks stalled Monday between Seattle Public Schools officials and teachers boycotting state-mandated tests, Seattle superintendent José Banda ordered that Garfield High School's principal and assistant principals administer the exams. Teachers leading the boycott have refused to administer the tests, saying they have little value and waste time. Banda said he had hoped teachers would give the exams while a task force begins a review of the district's testing system.
