Study combines ointment with hyperbaric oxygen therapy

Applying Nexigone ointment, an experimental drug, to wounds before patients enter hyperbaric oxygen chambers speeds healing of severe, chronic wounds, according to doctors at St. John Wound Center in Tulsa, Okla. Six of nine patients with years-old wounds experienced complete healing after 10 weeks, says Dr. Lam Lee.
