Defense cuts are "utterly unconscionable," Kendall tells Wall Street

In a meeting this week with Wall Street finance executives, Pentagon acquisition chief Frank Kendall made it clear how he feels about looming cuts to the defense budget. "It is utterly unconscionable -- utterly unconscionable -- that Congress will allow sequestration to go on," Kendall said at an aerospace and defense industry conference in New York. Kendall also affirmed his support for performance-based logistics contracts, which he said typically save the Defense Department about 15% on costs.
