Study: MPI with CZT SPECT provides good measure of LVEF

MPI with cadmium-zinc-telluride SPECT correctly evaluates left ventricular ejection fraction, but estimates of left ventricular volume are low, according to new research. The study, published in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, suggests the underestimation may be associated with how the aortic and mitral planes are defined. The study involved 60 patients known or believed to have coronary artery disease.
