New sound bars were among the advanced audio equipment unveiled at last month's International CES, Sean Murphy of the Consumer Electronics Association writes in this analysis. "Consider how atrocious audio quality typically has been on the very devices we spend so much time using: PCs, MP3 players, headphones and, lately, tablets and smartphones. It's no longer acceptable to tolerate inferior sound on any device. Quality audio is the new normal," he notes.
