Iowa parent presses for more robust autism training

Iowa teachers are eager to help 7-year-old Noah Cobbs, who is diagnosed with autism, but many lack exposure to the most modern training methods, parent Josh Cobbs told state legislators as they weigh legislation that proposes spending $200,000 to improve professional development and mandate that state teacher colleges cover autism. "They just simply don't have some of the proper tools and resources," Cobbs said.
