Soda consumption may increase risk of asthma, COPD

Drinking too many soft drinks was associated with an increased risk of developing asthma and/or chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, an Australian study of 16,907 people 16 and older found. In the journal Respirology, researchers reported that 13.3% of those who had asthma and 15.6% who had COPD drank more than half a liter of soft drinks daily.
