The election of President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party's return to power has only strengthened the position of Rush Limbaugh as radio's most influential, highest-rated conservative talk show host. Some moderate Republicans worry that Limbaugh's rock-ribbed conservatism will turn off potential voters and harm the GOP's chance to regain the White House in 2012 -- but these concerns are typically voiced off-the-record because the host's reach and power are widely respected by sitting politicians.
