Mediterranean diet could reduce dementia risk

A new study shows that a Mediterranean-style diet rich in fish, olive oil and vegetables could fight borderline dementia and also keep it from transitioning to Alzheimer's disease. The one-third of study participants who most closely adhered to the diet had a 48% lower risk of developing mild cognitive impairment than the one-third who followed the diet least closely.
