Despite the popularity of high-definition television, only about 16% of all TV commercials are delivered in HD, according to a DG and Kantar study. That's costing the industry $8.2 billion in impressions, as consumers are more likely to watch and retain HD spots, with brand lift dramatically higher in categories such as quickservice restaurants and beverages.
