As Android surges in Hong Kong, ad spend follows

With Android at 62% now commanding twice the market share of Apple iOS in the Hong Kong smartphone market, ad spending for Android campaigns increased 378% last year, according to AMAZE Mobile Media. The "iPhone got a head start in the beginning when the smartphone market first started, so Android lost a bit there. But as the Android system gained popularity, it took over the users who were on the Windows phone, Symbian users," commented AMAZE General Manager Penny Wong.
