Apple sees "curved glass" as answer to smart-watch design

Apple is reportedly tinkering with the production of an iOS-based smart watch, which would differ from other such products with the introduction of a curved glass design that seeks to take advantage of newly developed technology in which the materials conform to the body's curves. But scientists at Corning Glass Technologies, which created bendable glass, said inventing a foldable watch would take the invention a major step forward. "The human body moves in unpredictable ways. It's one of the toughest mechanical challenges," said Pete Bocko, Corning's chief technology officer.
