German utility has plans to build wind projects in Norway, Sweden

Germany's E.ON has proposed to build nine land-based wind projects in Norway with a total capacity of 1,500 megawatts. "Norway has a huge untapped potential. It's a new market that has many cost-efficient projects," said E.ON's Mark Porter. The German utility also intends to develop a 700-MW offshore wind farm in Sweden to supply power to Germany, Poland and the Baltic region.
