Iowa expands application of proven STEM programs

To bolster science, technology, engineering and math programs in schools across Iowa, the governor's STEM Advisory Council's "Scale-Up" initiative is taking successful STEM programs and encouraging the duplication or expansion of them elsewhere in the state. Proof of the council's success can be seen in the number of schools participating in Iowa's FIRST Tech Challenge in which 65 teams competed a year ago, and more than twice that number competed this year.
