Judge finds woman guilty of pretending to be veterinarian

An Ohio woman was convicted of fraud, forgery, misdemeanor theft and more for posing as a veterinarian at a now-closed veterinary hospital in Akron, Ohio. Authorities said 36-year-old Brandi Tomko ran the hospital in the owner's absence, even after the veterinarians quit. Animals were harmed, some fatally, as a result of Tomko's actions, the county prosecutor said.
