Modeling software keeps skyscraper costs on track

Architect Frank Gehry is using his software, Digital Project, to curb costs associated with the creation of Manhattan's Beekman Tower. The 3-D modeling software enables all aspects of a design, including shapes, to be thoroughly examined with respect to the site, ductwork and other features. That ensures that construction estimates stay on target and costly construction errors are minimized.
