Michigan students show improvements in math, reading scores

Scores on the annual Michigan Educational Assessment Program exams showed improvements at all grades levels in math, reading and writing. School officials from Detroit Public Schools said an increased focus on differentiated instruction and higher attendance rates contributed to the district's improved scores.
