Obama executive order on cybersecurity could come this week

The White House is expected to unveil its controversial order on cybersecurity in the days following President Barack Obama's State of the Union address Tuesday. The directive, which will establish a set of voluntary guidelines for businesses, has been in the works since last fall and comes after congressional gridlock on cybersecurity. Last week, the European Union issued its own sweeping directive that requires companies involved in many critical fields to report cybersecurity incidents to authorities.
