Stylist finds ancient hair was probably stitched

Baltimore hair stylist Janet Stephens has made waves in the world of archaeology with her deep research -- and scholarly published article -- on the way ancient Greek and Roman hairstyles were created. It was long thought that elaborate, gravity-defying hairdos were wigs, but Stephens' research has led her to believe they were created with the wearers' own hair, held together with needle and thread. And she's re-created some of the styles on live models.
