Telecoms stay up and running during Northeast snowstorm

Wireline carriers reported few outages after a storm dumped up to 3 feet of snow in the Northeast on Friday and Saturday. Verizon Communications said Saturday that reports fell "within a normal range for this time of year." Wireless carrier networks also said they came through the blizzard relatively unscathed, with minimal amounts of damage to cell towers.
