U.S. Supreme Court to hear case on genetically modified soybeans

A U.S. Supreme Court case could determine whether Monsanto and other seed producers can prevent farmers from replanting genetically altered crops. At issue is an Indiana farmer who bought progeny soybeans from a grain elevator for planting and was sued by Monsanto. A ruling against Monsanto "would devastate innovation in biotechnology," according to the company's brief.
