ViaSat beats Wall Street forecast with strong quarter

ViaSat beat Wall Street's expectations with its latest quarterly results, turning a profit when analysts had forecast a loss and reporting strong performances by its satellite broadband and defense divisions. A distribution offer with DIRECTV helped boost its broadband offering to 467,000 subscribers, a 38,000 increase from the previous quarter.
