"The Walking Dead" shows plenty of life with record audience

AMC's "The Walking Dead" during its Sunday return from a short break attracted an audience of 12.3 million, its biggest yet. The episode also garnered 7.7 million viewers in the key 18-to-49 demographic. This season, "The Walking Dead" has brought in 6.8 million viewers on average in the demo, a higher figure than averages for broadcast hits such as "Modern Family," "NCIS" and "The Big Bang Theory."
