Report: 90% of food industry workers have no benefits

The nonprofit Restaurant Opportunities Centers United has issued a report saying 90% of food industry workers are not offered benefits or sick days. The report also says restaurant workers nationwide earned $12,868 on average in 2008, compared with a general private sector figure of $45,371.
