After 2 years with a paywall, NYT still adding digital subscribers

The New York Times is continuing to see rapid growth in its digital subscription base, almost two years after the launch of its paywall, defying some expectations. The Times is on track for 700,000 online subscriptions by the end of this quarter, bringing in annual revenue of about $140 million. The paid model also has the effect of slowing the decline in print subscriptions, this article notes.
