Alternative investments are paying off, creating healthier investor portfolios and enhancing prospects for long-run returns, according to research house van Eyk. "The alternative funds that van Eyk has recommended have been performing true to label," said Matthew Olsen, head of manager research and deputy chief investment officer. Olsen says the key to properly assessing these funds is looking at the longer term.
