Broadcom samples LTE-Advanced modem chip

Broadcom is sampling the BCM21892 LTE-Advanced modem chip, which is scheduled to go into volume production next year. The IC is made with a 28-nanometer process and is said to be about one-third smaller than competing Long-Term Evolution chips, a key factor in mobile devices.
