Pay-TV customers are "cutting the cord," DISH Network Chairman Charlie Ergen said at a media conference in California. Ergen also favors a la carte pay-TV programming, although he believes it will take awhile to take apart the bundle. "A lot of customers can live with Netflix and an ... antenna, and YouTube ... and they'd be pretty happy," Ergen said. He also revealed that DISH's acquisition of Blockbuster was made with the hope that the stores would be a venue for wireless-product sales, although delays in DISH's wireless push have hampered that plan.
