States' rules addressing conflicts of interest on panels deciding Medicaid drug formularies vary, a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found. However, many states are moving to managed care models that include pharmacy benefit managers, which reduce conflicts and their associated costs, a separate commentary notes.
