Pfizer announces plans to close Singapore research facility

Pfizer announced it will close a clinical research facility in Singapore as part of an effort to streamline its R&D efforts and increase efficiency, a company spokesperson said. About 30 employees will be laid off in the process, which follows similar moves in the U.K. and U.S. and suggests the company might be shifting its focus toward China.
