South African companies keep eye on China's accounting standards

South African companies and investors are paying close attention to accounting standards that midsize and large companies in China -- South Africa's leading trade partner -- are expected to adopt in the next few years. Chinese generally accepted accounting practice does not completely align with International Financial Reporting Standards, used by most foreign firms in China.
