W.Va. center gets record number of advance directive requests

The West Virginia Center for End-of-Life Care logged almost 89,000 requests for advance health care directive forms in 2012, a record for the facility. More than half were requests for Physician Orders for Scope of Treatment. The West Virginia University center was established in 2002 to increase access to tools such as living wills, medical orders and medical powers of attorney.
